Ever since I was a little girl, I've always thought that the peak of sophistication was to have coffee table books, just laying out on a gracious table, asking to be pried open. I couldn't wait for the day when I was finally at "Coffee Table Book" status. I'm not kidding here, this is a true story.
While I don't believe I'm there yet, I certainly wish I was! So today, I'm sharing what my coffee table book collection would be, should I join this elite group of sophisticated people tomorrow.
My Selections:
The Gospel According to Coco Chanel, because sometimes we all need a little fashion perspective. Considering that I've been gravitating towards neutrals more, Black & White (and a bit in between) seems like a no-brainer. Great Gardens of America would ease away everyday stressors with the renewing power of nature. Finally, I've always been a fan of Edward Hopper's work, so Silent Theater is an obvious choice.
I could list even more books relating to interior design, fashion, and art, but I decided to keep my list short and sweet. Isn't it funny how the things we think about as children stay with us into adulthood? :)
