Another week down, and this second week of the school year was far busier! Yikes! And it just continues with a quick trip to Daytona then back to Tallahassee for my ever-growing to-do list. Here is a glimpse at my week!
1) After an IDSO (Interior Design Student Organization) Board member retreat (I'm the treasurer!) I headed to the beach to see Kyle, his sister and her new family last weekend. The beach was beautiful and it was so fun to meet Christian. What a cute one year old! I feel so blessed to be able to travel and be apart of stuff like this, watching him make memories with his parents. Though I guess he probably won't remember this but he'll see the pictures one day!
2) After realizing that my old sunglasses really block no sun when I was at the beach, I decided it's time for an upgrade. I want to invest in a nice pair of polarized glasses, but when I came across these recycled resin frames at my local health food store while shopping and I saw the darker lenses that cover more of my eye, I figured they'd serve as a nice interim pair until I can get nice shades. The frame shape is a little funky too, which I'm kinda diggin'.
3) Man, this cute furry guy brings me so much joy! I couldn't find him the other day and I went to check his new favorite spot and sure enough he was there. I snapped this picture just in time, before he sensed my presence and looked back all cutesy like "oh hi mom!".
4) I hosted a little Premier show at my apartment, and I just can't get over how amazing the jewelry is! I'm just so glad I get to represent an amazing company that has equally amazing jewelry that I get to flaunt.
5) Yesterday's outfit was a little stripes, and a whole lotta comfy! My mom got me this shirt for Italy, and even though it didn't end up making it in my suitcase I have to say it's a great shirt for a professional look. The best part? It's comfy as all get out! The material is nice for walking around campus in this Florida heat, but provides enough coverage in my chilly classrooms. And it's soft, because my stomach is crazy sunburnt from the beach. Lesson one? REAPPLY. And then do it again.
