I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating all the Fathers in your life-- I certainly did!
We used to go to Colorado Springs all the time to visit my grandma, and would take trips on Spring Breaks to all the sights around the Springs, including Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds,
and Garden of the Gods. Since I'm in college and not home as often as we'd all like, and my brother will be doing the same starting fall next year, we decided to make this Father's Day Weekend
a trip down to the Springs to reminisce.
On Saturday we visited Seven Falls, which is so beautiful you almost forget that you walk up and down 224 steps. We had some good laughs, and enjoyed the sunshine. My brother convinced me to let him throw up my sorority "gang sign" in a picture with me... Sadly he makes the "Phi" better than I can! lol
We finished up Saturday with Cave of the Winds (sorry, no pics), but hiked even more Sunday morning at Garden of the Gods. If you are in Colorado and only have time for one thing... go to Garden of the Gods. It is the most beautiful and amazing place. The rock color is gorgeous, and the shapes are just so unique and cool. I took a ton of pictures (correction: my brother borrowed my camera and took a ton of crazy-angled pics that added to the couple good ones I got in!) but these are my favorites: my parents being all cute, my brother and I climbing in the rocks, and the "Three Graces" rock.
I'm heading back to Florida for summer classes tomorrow, and will sorely miss my beautiful home state of Colorado! I just want everyone from Florida to come live with me in Garden of the Gods!
