Happy Monday! Sorry for being absent last week-- not only was it finals week but I also came down with a nasty cold! It was not fun, and I'm still recovering! But Saturday I felt better, so I decided to head out for some shopping during the tax-free weekend here in Florida.
You may remember my post outlining my Shopping Challenge... Since that post I decided to bump up my "extra" to $150 (yay!). Even though I have extra to spend, I still need to stick to my list! And I did this weekend, for the most part! Here was my haul...
I hit Marshall's, Ross, DSW, Kohl's, and Target. At Marshall's, I picked up this fabulous leopard blouse (off my list!)I think it will pair amazingly with black skinny jeans, olive skinny jeans, endless possibilities! At Ross, I picked up a beautiful teal Rachel Rachel Roy blouse (a good summer-fall transition piece, very versatile) and dressy black high-waited shorts (off my list!). In the ever-magical DSW, I walked away with these pointy-toed nude flats. Pointy-toes are in this fall, and this nude pair will go with everything. (I had wanted colored flats but I think these are the more practical option-- so off my list!). I went to Kohl's to return a couple things, and man was I lucky! The taupe blazer is from Lauren Conrad's line, as is the rose gold cuff bracelet. I also picked up an olive green tee to go with a pair of floral pants I have. Nothing off my list, but I got a great deal on all of it,
between return credits, sales, and coupons. Lastly I ended up at Target, where I picked up a black tank dress (surprisingly great quality) and black flat sandals (off my list!).
So all in all I'd say I did pretty good! And I still have about $96 left (see below), and both my Forever 21 & Gap, Inc. gift cards.
I'm sure I'll be posting a part two not before long :)
Have a great day!
Live Stylishly,
Caroline
