This weekend, I attended Jewel School, which was a training event put on by some of the local jeweler leadership here in Florida. It was a wonderful day full of laughs, friends, and fellowship. Every time I attend training I am reminded how blessed I am to get to work for such an amazing company, and with such amazing women. The theme of Jewel School was "Do It Big," and I think many of the concepts we talked about for our Premier businesses can be carried over into other fields. So today, I'd like to share four snippets of advice, a little Monday Motivation if you will, that I gained from Jewel School.
1. In order to Do Life Big, you must plant small seeds, do small things right, and become small. You will not have a big life if you only focus on yourself. By doing little things for others, and building them up, you become big. In other words, you do not become big by having a big head or ego, you become big by being and acting small.
2. Most things in life don't come easily. So when everything seems to be going wrong, think about this: when you are panning a river for rubies, diamonds, or any other precious stone, you don't just find one right off the bat. The person who has found the most rubies has gone through the most buckets of dirt and sand.
3. Have positive energy. Each morning, you have a choice to make; you can either have a good attitude and a good work ethic, or you can have a bad attitude and a bad work ethic. The choice is yours, and it will set the tone for the entire day.
4. Be focused. Nothing thrives in your work, business or life without focused attention.
And last but not least...
Have a great Monday, my wonderful readers! Do today big!
