Pale Blue & Speckled Red

Thursday, December 24, 2015

Merry Christmas Eve!

I love this speckled cardigan paired with a simple pale blue tee, especially up against the backdrop of fresh Colorado snow! I let the cardigan do the talking and kept the rest of the outfit simple; how would you style such a colorful piece?

A Week in Colorado

Tuesday, December 22, 2015

Last week Kyle & I were in Colorado! In addition to taking care of a few things for our wedding, we also spent time with family & friends. We touched down at DIA in the snow, which was a magical sight! For the wedding planning, we had a walkthrough at the venue, a meeting with our DJ, cake tasting (yum!), and we took engagement photos with the amazing Taylor of Taylor Jones Photography. It'd been years since I'd see The Nutcracker, and Kyle was able to snag us two last minute tickets for a little date night amongst the craziness of the week. It was a short and sweet visit, but it was wonderful nonetheless! Take a look for yourself...

Five Friday Favorites

Friday, February 13, 2015

Last week I dropped the ball on my Five Friday Favorites, just because my world has been so crazy with project overload. But I'm back! So here's a look at some of my favorite outfits recently...

1. This navy sweater is one of my favorite pieces, and I love it paired with the colors in the Belize necklace by Premier Designs.

2. My outfit for a Premier show on Sunday was a classic hit, featuring my new cross body purse that I'm in love with! Love the pop of cobalt in my flats.

3. Yesterday, I wore this comfy ensemble to transition from class to a long car trip to go see Kyle. I am 100% obsessed with this dress made by Lovestitch Clothing. (Find it here and here).

4. Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate our 6 year anniversary... It's crazy to think we've been dating since high school, but I can't imaging spending these years with anyone else. On an outfit note, for once I actually wore exactly what I had planned! I belted this fun, bright scarf I received as a Christmas gift over a sleek black dress, added some fun jewelry, and I'm happy that what I had pictured looking good was a success! That is not always the case.

5. Now that my flight is officially booked, I can't wait to be heading home in March! I love & have been missing Colorado so much lately. I mean, what's not to love?!

Happy Valentines and Happy Weekend!

Five Friday Favorites

Friday, January 2, 2015

Yet another wonderful week of my Christmas Break has gone by, and now we are in 2015! Crazy! I'm back in Florida and missing Colorado (even the cold!) but here is a snippet of my week...

1. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! I'm so glad it was snowy when I was home, because I certainly don't get that here in Florida! I enjoyed it so much, and it makes for beautiful pictures...

2. Another thing that makes for beautiful pictures is waking up to a full sheet on ice on your window...

3. While home, I was able to fit in a visit with all my friends, which was nice. I went to PFChangs and saw Into The Woods with my buddies Rachael and Jessica, as well as tried to not die when they drug me to a PureBarre class! (Actually, I did it to myself...) And then I was able to catch up over coffee with my friends from high school who now live in both Washington and New York, which was so nice!

4. Just before I made the trek back to Florida, I finished Wild by Cheryl Strayed, and now I can't wait to see the movie! I started on my next book on the plane, Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran. As I mentioned yesterday, one of my goals for the new year was to read 12 books, so after my day of traveling I've made a great head start. Even though I technically started the book in 2014, I'm going to count it as my first 2015 book. Haters gonna hate.

5. So the FSU vs. Oregon game last night.... not going to talk about that. :( But we can talk about my outfit, which you might have seen on Instagram!
