Today I turn 21! It's so crazy how fast time flies!
I have to say that I am a lucky girl, and I have been blessed with an amazing 21 years indeed. That being said, below are 21 lessons I have learned about life throughout the years (in no particular order!). These are the things that get me through when the going gets rough, and I hope you enjoy them.
1. Laugh. Life's too short to live it too seriously.
2. Plans can change--be adaptable. Maybe what you initially wanted to happen wasn't meant to happen. That's ok!
3. Live each day to the fullest.
4. Everything happens for a reason-- God has a plan. This I am so very sure of.
5. Take time to revel in the beauty of nature. It is in those quite moments when we tend to find ourselves.
6. The people you spend time with influence you, so make sure you want them to influence you. Be a positive influence on others.
7. You can do anything you set your mind to.
8. Don't overlook the little things in life. They may seem insignificant but we can learn a lot from noticing the little things.
9. Never take yourself too seriously.
10. Love yourself-- you were made perfectly, no matter what anyone else thinks.
11. Love your family. They are the center of your world.
12. "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't loose!" Friday Night Lights
13. Always look for the bright side of things, even in the worst situations.
14. Do what makes you happy; that is the key to life.
15. "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Eleanor Roosevelt
16. Don't overwork yourself. We are only human--we need breaks!
17. Always keep learning.
18. "Don't worry, Be happy." Bob Marley
19. Love can come when you least expect that--and that's great! Enjoy it and cherish it.
20. Smile, and smile often.
21. Buy the shoes :)
Happy Wednesday!
