I'm all for being able to use piece from your closet in new ways, like wearing this olive green tunic tucked into a skirt as a top. In addition, I'm a believer in re-discovering forgotten pieces and bringing them back into the mix, like this tweed skirt I came across in my closet at my parents house a couple weeks ago. This beautiful tweed number originally came into my possession when I went to school at SCAD, and my mom and my aunt came to visit. We found ourselves in a designer resale shop in midtown Savannah, where I purchased this skirt and a couple other things. As I mentioned last week, classic pieces are great to buy from resale shops!

I enjoyed walking through memory lane with this skirt, and I took it back to Tallahassee with me; it's the perfect kind of skirt for winter because of the tweed material. Have you ever re-discovered something in your closet?
