As soon as you get engaged, people start asking you left and right "When's the wedding?" "What are you thinking about this that and the other thing?!" It can get a little overwhelming, but at the same time it's kind of fun to have so many people interested in how you're going to celebrate the rest of your life with the man of your dreams. Since I'm in school, and will be for another year, I'm trying to make sure I just take planning step by step, and not go too crazy. Honestly though, as pretty as all the glitz and glamour-filled weddings are, Kyle and I are a pretty laid-back couple, and that just doesn't suit us at all. A wedding day is a celebration of your future together, not a showcase of how much you spent on every lavish thing. At least in my mind!
Anyway, I had the idea to share the steps of the wedding planning process with y'all, in a series called Wedding Wednesday! It begins today with some unique Save the Date ideas.
Very cute Save the Dates with included magnet! (Source)
I think this style Save the Date is more my style; just simple lettering over a photo! Lots of other ideas in the full article as well. (Source)
I like the mini-love story that's included in these Save the Dates. (Source)
These would be perfect for a destination wedding! (Source)
Such a cute DIY tutorial, and a great idea to help your guests mark their calendars! (Source)
Love this idea! So cute, but definitely a project that would take time and help from friends & family. (Source)
I LOVE THESE. I mean, they have rose gold foil on them, which would match my ring. Hmm.... :) (Source)
We are still working on what date exactly, but we have a general idea in our heads. In the mean time, it's just fun to get an idea of what I might like to do! For those of you who are already married... any tips for this newly-engaged girl?! Any little rid bits to help with the planning?
Happy Wedding Wednesday!
